About
Kindly, creative, experienced teacher and musician. Three degrees, certifications, 20+ years of experience. I love meeting each student where they are, and never feeling that I'm teaching the same lesson twice. I have excellent background in both Suzuki and traditional classical violin.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I enjoy meeting new students and their families, who often hold the key to how their learning might flourish. I encourage students to play a piece they like, and to tell me about styles and artists they enjoy hearing. The most important is to gain a steady foothold for practice time in their daily routine.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have earned multiple degrees, with honors, in violin performance and pedagogy, and instrumental music education. I have also seriously studied voice, viola, and piano. Most importantly, I have worked with several of the most knowledgeable, insightful and kind practitioners in the field, such as Dorothy DeLay and Louise Behrend.
