About
I have been teaching private violin lessons in NJ in Basking Ridge and Bridgewater area since 2000. Since that time I taught a great amount of children of different ages and levels. I enjoy working with kids and watching them grow and develop into young adults with great love for music and ability to play the violin on pretty high levels by the time they graduate. Almost all of my students are enrolled in their school orchestras, many played with NJ Youth Symphony and NJ Regional Orchestra after successfully auditioning to get in. I also hold my class recitals twice a year which gives my students an additional goal to practice. Some of my younger students were winners of the Young Pianist Competition of New Jersey, the "Le Petit Concerto" division, whose prize was to perform with the orchestra.
All the students who graduated from my class went on to either very prestigious private schools like Andover and Pingry among others or to colleges like Princeton, Brown, Welsleyan etc.
I have a Masters Degree in Performance from Manhattan School of Music and was an assistan to my professor in St.Petersburg, Russia where I was born and lived until 1983 before coming to New York. I have also been an active free-lance musician in the tri-state area performing with many orchestras, groups and individual artists.
