I'm an licenced music teacher k-12 with more than 25 years of experience. My students stay with me averaging 5 years or more! Some as long as 8 years or more. I love teaching students from as young as kindergarten to adults a well.
I love introducing the piano and the world of music to all my students. They often are amazed at how easy it is to learn to play the piano and the music they love to listen to.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I work individually with each students interests and abilities to find what they enjoy playing.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
YSU Cum Laude graduate 1992 Music Eduaction and Dana School of Music Award 1987. 20 years currently of piano lessons in my home studio in Barberton, Ohio. 20 years as a music instructor and a French horn instructor as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Lessons are $25 a half hour lesson and are paid monthly by check or cash. There are no refunds or credit given for missed or canceled lessons, however Iwill do makeup lessons as a curteousy if it is possible for me to do so.
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching as a college student many years ago. Have enjoyed it ever since!
What types of students have you worked with?
College students, adults as well as school aged students.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
My students got the opportunity to play for a local senior center in December adit was very well received!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Experience and diversity in teaching different styles is important. I can teach Rock pop jazz and classical styles.
