About
I earned my 200 hour yoga teacher certification in Koh Phan-gan, Thailand, receiving a unique and non-Western approach to yoga. My learning involved asanas (poses), meditation, multiple yoga styles (Hatha, Vinyasa Flow, Nidra, etc), chanting, history, and philosophy. Along with this training, I have had a self-practice for numerous years now as well as amazing instructors during the beginning of my yoga journey.
Currently I have several private yoga students that I enjoy working with and watching them progress.
My background in education (elementary), anthropology, coaching (gymnastics and rock climbing), and fitness has helped me to view the body and mind holistically. I think that when the physical body is in balance, the mind can be at ease, and vice-versa. I believe that any person is capable and can benefit from yoga. As a teacher, I am patient, encouraging, respectful, and knowledgeable. I enjoy working with all ages and types of people, and find such self-benefit from teaching.
Teaching yoga is my passion. It brings me such joy to create meaningful connections with my students, and to watch them progress in their yoga practice.
