Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I offer half an hour or one hour sessions, once a week, to students of all ages who wish to improve (or begin) their skills in voice, piano, or music theory. I am also happy to help more advanced students work towards perfecting their audition package as they prepare for high school productions or college auditions. Given our current situation, I will be teaching these lessons from the comfort of my living room over Zoom! Please let me know if you have any questions regarding how this program works or need help downloading it/getting started
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold both a master's and bachelor's degree in vocal performance.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Initial lessons are free for anyone who is interested! After the first lesson, it will cost $45 for a half hour lesson and $60 for a full hour. I am happy to accept payment through Venmo or other online payment apps. A mailed check is also acceptable if that is easier for you. If this is the case, I will provide you with my mailing address individually. Lessons are billed month to month, with payment due on the 15th of the month, or after the first lesson of the month.
What types of students have you worked with?
I work with students aged 6-86!
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What are you hoping to gain from music lessons? What type of music do you like to listen to/sing/play?
