We accept students from age 4 and up! For quality music lessons in Richmond Hts., Ohio, Great Lakes School of Music is the premier choice for music instruction! We offer private and virtual lessons! Our music teachers are experienced instructors / performers and undergo background checks, so you can rely on our awesome staff.
Music is my passion, and teaching gives me the opportunity to meet new people and help them to develop into thriving musicians! I love working with all ages, from elementary age to senior citizen!!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I love to get to know each student before we even begin the lesson! I always ask about their background in music and what they would like to acheive. It's also great to know about their school or job experience plus hobbies! We talk about the type of instrument used for daily practice plus practice routine.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Graduate of James Madison University, B.A. in Music
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching privately in my home as well as for the Cleveland Music School Settlement! After doing this for 10 years, I decided to open my own school of music, which I did in 1996!
What types of students have you worked with?
All ages and all levels, private and group lessons!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Great Lakes Music Festival, sponsored by Great Lakes School of Music! Our last Festival took place March 26, 2016! Student performed before a panel of 3 judges in all genres and disciplines.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Look into teaching credentials, years of experience and ages / levels the teacher enjoys the most
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Am I able to make a commitment to attend lessons and practice regularly?
Do I have the proper instrument for practice?
