About

Playing music (specifically guitar) has become the purpose of my life. It is something that I am very passionate about. Not only do I love to play but I love to help others and see them grow as musicians and people. I have been playing for 10 years now and have played in various bands and events throughout that time. I have had some experience with teaching but would really like to expand on this. I not only want to teach how to play the guitar but how to play music. There is a difference believe it or not! I know how to read music and understand music theory to a degree where I can teach it to somebody else. I remember the impact that my guitar teachers have had on my life and I would love to have this type of impact on other players who are ready to shred!

I enjoy seeing students exce and get better over time. There's nothing more satisfying then seeing someone progress and become a great player over time. Not only is it great for the students but it's great for me to see it happen.

    Frequently asked questions

When working with a new student I first try to find out what the student wants to achieve. Does the student want to learn how to play their favorite songs or are they trying to learn how to read music and understand excitably what they are doing? These are things that are important to me as the teacher to figure and determine how I will work with the student. Everybody has a different goal, I just want to help them achieve it no matter what it is.

I had formal music training for about 8 years up until very recently. Have been trained in Blues, Rock, pop, jazz, classical.

I started teaching when I was contacted by somone who was in the crowd at a show I was playing. Their son wanted guitar lessons so we sat them up and went from there. I began to teach more and more of my friends after this.

I have worked with younger age students, about 10-12 years old but have also worked with teenage aged students from 14-18.

Don't just try and find a teacher who will do the job and move on to the next student. Try and find someone personable who really cares about your needs as a student and what it takes to make you a better guitar player.

Do I really want to play the guitar? (It is a commitment and will need practice in order for you to get better.)

Am I willing to put in a significant amount of practice?

will this be a fun experience for me?
