Laurence Hazelbaker

“Haze”, Laurence Edward Hazelbaker (born April 9, 1964) is an American composer, singer, songwriter, and accomplished musician.  He is the son of talented musicians, Lloyd Hazelbaker and Gloria Hazelbaker.  At the age of 5, they discovered he had perfect pitch and quickly set him up for a successful music career. He studied classical and jazz piano at the College Conservatory of Music in Cincinnati and at the Cincinnati School for Creative and Performing Arts.  By the age of 7, he began appearing and performing on television shows, such as Paul Dixon (1971) and Nick Clooney (1973).  Other talk shows where he performed include Craig Ferguson, Tony Danza, and John McEnroe.

Haze has performed at the Grand Ole Opry, CMA Awards, ACM Awards, CMT, and GAC just to name a few.  He has written, recorded with, or played with Bootsy Collins, Red Hot Chili Peppers, Dave Stewart, Carmine Appice, Chubby Checker, Pam Tillis, Wynonna Judd, Trisha Yearwood, Emmylou Harris, Dolly Parton, Darryl Worley, Richard Marx, Charlie Daniels, and Carrie Underwood.  He performed multiple times at the White House, Pentagon and at overseas military bases.

While touring with Country Artist Darryl Worley, the band all received a gold record for the #1 hit single  “Have You Forgotten?” (2003).

In addition to his musical career, Haze has provided various voices and jingles for Kui Hung Toys (2000-present) and Paper Magic (2004-2008).  He is also creating film scores for up and coming films.

Haze currently owns and operates a successful school of 7 years teaching over 30 different instruments, providing vocal lessons, and artist development.  He is making a difference in the lives of many children and teenagers by sharing his passion for music and his diverse talent.
