I have played guitar for over 50 years. I halve taught guitar over last 10 years to dozens of people people aged 10 to 70. I tailor my teaching to fit each individual's needs and wants. I teach people under 55 at the Delaware (Oh) cutural arts center at $22 per half hour on Monday and Wednesday afternoons. I teach people over 55 for $30 for 3 months of weekly half hour group lessons on Tuesdays at 4:30 or 5 pm at Sourcepoint enrichment center, on Cheshire rd in Delaware. I can teach beginner or intermediate players chords, strumming, fingerpicking, note reading, and rock/blues/country lead guitar. References are available at either the cultural arts center (Diane Hodges) or Sourcepoint (Marilyn Clark).
I love seeing people have fun learning about the guitar and enjoying a lifelong hobby. I like the"aha" moments when they reach a new level in their understanding and playing ability.
Bob listens to you. He is hands on. I for instance have very large hands and arthritis. Bob shows me 2, 3,and 4 alternative ways to play the music so that I can still get the sound out. He is never discouraging, a true teacher.
He makes complex simple. He encourages at every step
He is very knowledgeable and patient. My daughter loves working with Bob and has been working with him for 3 years.
Bob is very knowledgeable and always makes the lessons fun.
I find out why they want to play guitar and what they would like to do with their guitar. Then I setup a series of lessons tailored to meet their beast and wants.
