Jack Walbridge earned a Bachelor’s degree in music from Susquehanna University in 2012. Jack has taught guitar, bass guitar, upright bass, and ukulele for over 15 years. In addition to teaching, Jack has worked as an Off-Broadway pit musician in New York and as a Session musician and composer in Los Angeles. Jack has also worked as a freelance composer and has had his music featured on television and in movies including Keeping up with the Kardashians, Real Husbands of Hollywood, and Being Mary Jane. Jack is currently living in Westerville, Ohio.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Typically I start by teaching the basics of the guitar. That way you have a nice base to build on and go from there.
After mastering the basics I teach a combination of what you want to learn and what I think will be helpful for your growth.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I Have a BA in Music and I have been Teaching Lessons for over ten years

How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching guitar in high school to my friends and just kept going.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students of all ages and all skill levels. I pride myself on being able to teach anyone what they want to learn.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I recently bought a house and I am very fond of it.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
A good guitar teacher is someone you enjoy being around. If you don't like spending time with your teacher, your time with that teacher won't last long.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
The students can ask my anything.
