I have been teaching for 20 years Violin, Viola, Cello, and Piano to students of all ages and learning abilities. I am a former Orchestra Director, and Adjunct Professor of Strings from Thiel College. I have played professionally in orchestras in Florida, West Virginia, Ohio, and Pennsylvania. I currently perform regularly with Opera Western Reserve, Youngstown Symphony, Warren Philharmonic Orchestra as the Assistant Concertmaster, Greenville Symphony Orchestra, Harmony String Quartet, and Jazz Groups. I teach multi genres in Classical, Jazz, Blues, Rock, Country, Celtic, and Folk.
I love watching my students grow in their abilities. That moment when a students achieves their goals, the light in their eyes reminds me why I do what I do.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin by assesing the individual student's interests in musical genres as well as desired goals for performance. I work through a variety of method books, and encourage proper alignment in form to not only prevent future injury, but attain peak performance through proper technique.

How did you get started teaching?
When I received concertmaster of the boardman orchestra in eighth grade my conductor asked me to beging teaching other students. I was advanced at that time studying under the college professor starting in seventh grade.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have taught music to 5 year olds to adults 60+, as well as children and adults with special needs.
