I provide a unique and innovative approach to learning piano, theory and composition that is tailored to each individual and to any age and level of development. Over decades of teaching, I have worked on and honed my techniques to the point where I can provide the essence of each area of study, be it learning skills, fingering & technique, ear-training, expression, theory or composition. It's much like giving you the box top before you start to piece together a jigsaw puzzle.

Given his almost 6 decades of piano teaching experience, he has a huge amount of knowledge regarding each aspect of piano. His teaching style is something Ive never seen before - introducing each concept in an entirely accessible and understandable manner each class. His experience with music theory, technique, and repertoire is unparalleled, and he teaches each one in his signature lighthearted style. He can work with you on almost any goal you want to achieve, whether that be improvisation, music theory, or classical playing. His lessons are decidedly low stress - he does his best to make his classes enjoyable for each student, which makes me find myself looking forward to each class.
