About
My name is Marla Hansen, I have my Master's degree in Collaborative Piano and I am also a professional violinist. I have been teaching for 10+ years and love working with students of all ages and abilities! I am a member of OMTA (Oregon Music Teachers Association), ASTA (American String Teachers Association), and SAA (Suzuki Association of the Americas). I am classically trained and provide theory, ear training, music history, and sight reading instruction along with teaching repertoire in my lessons. My goal is to help foster a lifelong love of music and help the student enjoy and be excited about every step along the way!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When working with a new student, I try to expose them to as much music and variety as possible, to ignite a spark and get them exicted about acheiving goals. I strive for them to play musically and accurately, and to share their skill with others.
