About
Suzanne Messinger began her musical career at the age of six studying classical piano for 12 years then training vocally for an additional 12 years. She studied at Clark Community College under Dale Beacock, with Carolyn Ternahan, formerly of the San Francisco Opera and with Angelina Anello-Dennee of Musical Impressions Studios in Bend, Oregon. She performed as a professional singer and keyboardist up and down the west coast for four years before settling in the Columbia River Gorge where she taught music both privately and in the public-school systems for 8 years. There, Suzanne also studied every aspect of musical theater both in front of and behind the curtain focusing specifically on what it takes to shine as a performer. To date, Suzanne has been an actor, director, musical director, producer, conductor, accompanist and stage manager in well over 30 productions as well as a Founding Member, President and Artistic Director of Encore Performing Arts Theater in The Dalles, Oregon.
One of Suzanne's greatest joys is helping artists and students work hard and achieve their goals, reaching that "Limelight" moment as they realize, “I did it!”
