I remember the day I fell in love with yoga. My new friend Jaye had invited me to join her for an outside yoga session along with others. We found the perfect spot under a row of cypress trees overlooking the Monterey bay. I had always been a little apprehensive when taking a yoga class due to my inexperience, but Jaye made me feel totally at ease and welcome. This allowed me to be fully present for the first time and experience yoga in every beautiful way. Jaye has a calm and nurturing demeanor. Her guidance and knowledge left me with a better understanding of each pose and the relationship with the breath. Jaye is an absolute gem and is truly my favorite yoga teacher.
Jaye takes the time to work with you at your skill level and develop a program tailored to your goals and needs. She is very patient and supportive. I thoroughly enjoyed learning from her.
I loved learning yoga with Jaye. She has a very soothing personality. She went my pace and taught me with no judgement, just patience and love. I was able to easily understand her directions which helped me learn quickly. I am very grateful for the lessons I had from her.
Everyone can use a little yoga in their life! Jaye has helped me with my practice sooo much! Jaye worked with me to build strength, gain flexibility and learn proper alignment. In addition to the physical benefits, I feel super calm and peaceful after a session. I have learned new poses – like Lion – which has taught me to feel my power! Jaye has a very special way of teaching and being and I feel honored that she shares so much with me. I am grateful to have found Floating Leaf yoga!
I found that practicing yoga was a great way to support myself during a time of transition and lots of change. The practices continue to bring me home to myself and keep me showing up each day and grateful to be alive. I now enjoy offering these tools to others as a Yoga Instructor. The Ashtanga-Hatha Pranayama, Meditation, and Asana teachings I share are simple, powerful practices that connect people to joy, rejuvenation, and peace. I was trained at the Mount Madonna Institute near Santa Cruz, CA. I've been teaching Yoga for three years, and have experience teaching all ages and backgrounds. I value diversity and most enjoy teaching one-on-one. My goal is to help others develop the ability and confidence to practice independently, in the comfort of their own home or wherever they happen to be. Home can be wherever you are. In addition to being a yoga teacher, I'm also a self-taught nutrition and healthy lifestyle resource. I have years of experience as a Registered Nurse working with individuals recovering from addictions. I am full of insights to help people identify and meet personal goals for managing stress and living a balanced, meaningful, healthy life. "Feel good, do good."
I love sharing Yoga and witnessing the effect it has on people and myself.
