Stephen Lewis @ Chopinois Music

Stephen Lewis @ Chopinois Music, located in Portland, Oregon, is a comprehensive music education service that focuses on piano instruction, composition study, and music theory and ear training. Founded with a devotion to helping students become complete musicians, Stephen teaches everyone ages 10-adult, from beginners to advanced performers, with a focus on young students aiming for conservatory auditions and adults of any ability level, including advanced players who are not professionals themselves. The goal is to make learning music a fun, holistic activity that promotes excellence and self-expression.

Stephen has two doctorates in music, a DMA in Piano and a PhD in Composition, from UC San Diego, and a B.Mus. in Piano and Composition from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music. Stephen is an active concert pianist and performs often with the Oregon Symphony and other professional groups in the Portland area.
