About

Bloom Music Studio is an energetic place to learn music. Our staff begins and ends with supporting your music goals first! Music is a very special and personal art form. We want you to be excited about what you're learning and feel that we have your back when the learning is challenging. I founded my business in 2004 because I want young people to have a healthy outlet for their challenges in life. That is still our mission today for kids and adults! ❤️

When I get to see a student understand something new about music and perform something that they had not before, then I know I'm in the right place.

    Frequently asked questions

I like to learn about my student's interest and experience in music and what their goals are! It is very important to get a feel for expectations and what I can offer them. Once we chat, I can get started with exercises which warm up and train the ear. Everyone things we sing with our voice, but its really our ears we are training. If you can't hear the sound in your head, you can not create it!

I spend six years in higher education studying music, specifically voice performance. I sang in choirs and groups throughout my childhood and into college. I took lessons from three very amazing teachers during my undergrad and sang in our Opera Workshop (performance).

After I finished my associates in music, I asked a local business owner if I could have a student or two to see if music education was my thing! She said yes! I knew after a piano class with four kids that this was my niche! I also had a voice teacher two years prior to this tell me sternly, "If you don't go into music education, you will ruin your life!" She was right!

I usually work with kids. I feel like that is where the magic happens. I do teach some adults voice and that's fun, but for instruments, I like to stick with kids.

Please make sure this teacher fits your learning style and desires. I believe it is important that kids and adults go into lessons feeling they can be themselves, ask questions, say what they want and need. If you do not feel comfortable, then learning will not take place.

Why do you want to learn? What will you do in your life to be consistent with learning? Where do you see yourself in a period of time? Is this a hobby or are you looking to do things professionally?
