About

I’ve been playing piano for over 7 years and have studied under two dedicated instructors who helped shape both my technical foundation and creative voice. Prior to my relationship with piano my musical journey involved playing trumpet throughout middle and high school, playing bass guitar in jazz ensembles, singing in choir, and writing songs for guitar and voice in a three-piece rock group. Along the way I developed a robust love for composing and the exploration of the infinite creative possibilities of music. During college, I had the wonderful opportunity of composing an arrangement of a jazz standard for a live big band performance. Every part of the experience - from listening to other interpretations, writing the arrangement, to hearing in the final performance come to life - invigorated my passion for dense harmonies, tonal blending and musical textures. Nowadays, I primarily work on piano literature and musical collaborations in a home studio, often incorporating piano, bass, guitar, voice, saxophones, clarinets, trumpet, percussion and occasionally strings into projects. Recording studio music has led me into the world of audio engineering, mixing and mastering and I’ve been overjoyed to discover a new side of music to learn about and take on once again.
