About
First thing you should know: I travel to my students' homes for lessons!
Next think you should know: I am a passionate and invested teacher, with great enthusiasm for connecting with students and celebrating their growth.
About me:
I am a Pacific Northwest native. I've lived in Portland almost all of my life. After graduating with my master's in business, I worked a variety of sales jobs that left me feeling unfulfilled, so I decided to leave the business world and make my passion my work!
Between piano, French horn, and voice, I've taken over 20 years of music lessons. I've directed a children's choir, and taught piano, voice, and French horn students. I perform regularly at my church, in a local rock band, and in the Tabor Wind Ensemble.
Teaching philosophy:
Regular practice will get you the best results. But whether you do or don't have time to practice every week, keep coming back to lessons - a lifelong dedication to learning and improving your musicianship will yield many rewards, and we don't need to let perfectionism get in the way of learning!
