Lauren Guerin

Lauren is a violinist with over 15 years of musical experience. Like many, her first experience with music was in the public school systems. Her biggest goal is bringing art, music, and theater to those who have never experienced it before. Since then she graduated with a Bachelor's degree in music performance and has been using it to share her passion with others.

Her teaching philosophy revolves around finding the fun for each student. Discovering what makes you excited. Playing games and staying engaged with the classroom material is essential to her teaching style. Her experience combines classical learning of the Suzuki method with elements of traditional folk and fiddle. She loves exploring different sounds, cultures, and stories through music. Making things challenging and surprising during each lesson.

Lauren loves to study child developmental psychology and the effects that music has throughout one's life. Music education is important because it is as joyous as it is scary. There are few things in life that are as challenging or as rewarding as music. It is an open space for all our fears, failures and accomplishments.
