About
Hello! My name is Katie and I am a piano teacher. I have been teaching piano for 10 years now, and I have played piano for 15 years. I have experience with a wide variety of students and can also teach beginners. Spanish speakers are welcome!
I am able to travel or teach students in my own home. Let me know if you have any questions!
**Please text or call me at 770-238-9471 to discuss with me further!
I love teaching, music, and interacting with kids! I am actually a 4th year LECOM dental student, and I am planning on becoming a pediatric dentist. Piano is my stress reliever, and teaching it is just as fun!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I typically will meet the student and see what their goals are. Then I will determine the piano books that I think suits them best. From there we start learning through the books, but I also often bring in some outside sheet music for fun!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I took piano lessons for 10 years, and then I transitioned into teaching. I have now been teaching for almost 10 years.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I generally charge around $25/hour. I teach mostly for fun!
How did you get started teaching?
In high school I decided I would have more fun working with kids rather than taking lessons every week. I love transferring my knowledge to someone else, and also just love music as well.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with students ranging from 5 years old to 12 years old, but I could work younger or older if needed! Most of my students have been beginners. I can also speak Spanish, so I have worked with Spanish-speaking families.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Pick a teacher that makes you feel comfortable and lets you have fun! Music should never be 100% serious
