About
Chris has been teaching for almost 20 years and loves helping students develop their musical potential. He believes that lessons should be light-hearted while remaining focused on developing the student’s skills.
Chris holds a Bachelor’s and Master’s degree in Music Education from Mansfield University of Pennsylvania with an emphasis in Voice. He has taught and performed a wide range of vocal styles including classical, choral, jazz, theater, and rock. As a choral director, Chris’ ensembles regularly received Superior ratings in competition.
Chris teaches classical singing technique but knows that his students’ musical interests are varied. His main goal as a vocal coach is to help his students sing with healthy technique in whatever styles they prefer.
In addition to his role as a teacher, Chris is also experienced in leading professional development sessions for educators. His first professional development experience came when he was selected to be part of the Leaders of Integrated Instruction team at Avon Grove School District, and he continues to offer instructional support to the teachers in his studio as well as private coaching sessions for parents and educators.
He currently performs most weekends with his rock band Flying Blind as a singer and guitarist.
