I am the owner and founder of Maplewood Studio which is a multi-use facility offering production recording and education. For Those About To Rock Academy and Long Live Rock Academy sessions are held here as well as private lessons and full service audio production.since I have personally done over 5000 shows , recorded 100’s of albums and taught music for 30 years it’s obvious that music is my life. Experience is the best teacher!!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
First and foremost I find out what the student listens to and likes. Guitar has a physical curve in the beginning and it’s easy to get frustrated amd even quit. So I find that when a student learns a song that he or she really likes it makes it a lot easier to get past a little pain and frustration !! Small hurdles and victories keep the guitar played often.
