Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
When a student contact us, we want to learn more about the kind of expereince they are looking for along with some parameters for scheduling. Then we offer scheduling options and dialogue about any questions they may have. Registration is online and we run payments at the beginning of each month. The lessons are customize by the teacher based on what the students interests are and any goals they may have set for themselves.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
All teachers have a bachelor's degree in Music with a primary instrument. Many have master's degrees and additional certifications. Our team of teachers are typically performing out in the community as well to provide a well-rounded educational expereince.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Pricing is set by the month for the school year. We sell a summer 6 pack of lessons for June-August with the option to add more as time permits.
What types of students have you worked with?
We work with lesson students age 5 through adults. We work with beginners, intermediate, and advanced levels. We provide audition coaching as well. We also have adult students who are taking lessons for enjoyment. So we teach all kinds of people and levels.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
If you are looking to start lessons, we encourage students to meet a teacher first before making a commitment. You can sign up for a Paid Trial lesson. Come to the lesson with your questions so that you leave with enough information to make a good decision about next steps.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Why do you want to take lessons? Do you have a specific goal in mind? Why do you want lessons on that specific instrument? What kind of expereince are you looking for? What are your expectations?
