What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I like to begin by assessing the student's goals and expectations. Is (s)he a professional player, or aspiring to become one? Or just looking to learn a few songs? What are their musical interests? How much time do they have to devote to a practice routine? If a child, how are they doing in school?
After this, if they have prior experience, I'll ask to hear something they're comfortable playing in order to diagnose and recommend needed studies. And, we go from there!

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Tuition is due in full the first lesson of each month, for the number of lessons to be given that month.
Rates, for a monthly block of lessons, are based upon $50 per hour; $30 per half hour:
“Four-week” months:
$200 for four one-hour lessons
$120 for four ½ hour lessons
“Five-week” months:
$250 for five one-hour lessons
$150 for five ½ hour lessons
