What is your typical process for working with a new student?
1. 1st lesson free with registration
2. Find & purchase suitable text book/music methods, sufficient keyboard and or piano needed from 1st lesson plus registration.
3. Determine what "goals" you the student, or parents of student want.
4. Set up reasonable time and day of week to meet/with one make up time.
5. Work! Play! Practice!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Music A.A, concentration on Vocal performance B.S.in Business, Minor in Music, Music Business Management, signed with CBS(Chroma Records) Philadelphia, Pa. and Precision Records, Pittsburgh, Pa.. Studio Management and engineering at Blockhouse Studio and 14 years as Director of The Melody Shop and Western Pa. Culture Center.

Usual and customary pricing on website. Fridays in North Hills, Wexford or Rt. 228 near Cranberry, booking for 1 hour increments. 5pm next slot available. Call for times available. accept Visa,MC, Discover, American Express or cash. No checks please.
How did you get started teaching?
Started right out of college with private students in my home. purchased family owned business, The Melody Shop, in 2004.

All ages, from elementary to Adults!
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
The Melody Shop Waterfront "Let it Glow" performance this past November, 2018, students & teachers performed / opened for Gabby Barrett( American Idol runner up, previous student of Melody Shop) Many of our students excel and have the talent to compete! Not for everyone! it's a choice, not mandatory to perform! Sometimes its just for your self or family!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Attitude is essential! Teachers must like students and nurture them to appreciate all types of music.
