I am both a Duquesne University Violin Professor (for almost 20 years now) and a private teacher at home (on viola too!). At the University level, I have dozens of students that have won both orchestral and teaching positions around the world! I love teaching students who are auditioning/competing, whether it's a required recording for school orchestra for a grade, or auditioning for an orchestra or competition. I cover the psychological side of competition and focus on the preparation and personalized practice regimens. I love figuring out specific plans for each person based on their goals and motivation.

I love helping students of all ages and levels! My personal mission is to bring to them both the love of music and at the same time how to play it properly. I work on a lot of technical skills that are geared towards what each student needs personally and individually. Those technical skills improving help them better communicate the musical message of each piece. I will push the student to the maximum of their own personal potential but not beyond it when they would give up! I teach based on the Galamian School (my teachers are from that training) and extremely positive teaching, not negative teaching at all. I have Bachelor's and Master's Degrees in Violin Performance and am Concertmaster of 2 orchestras. My full bio is at
