I have studied under Alan Van Wert for several years. He is a very accomplished and experienced guitarist who has taught and toured for years. I am proficient in technique and theory.
I love sharing the passion I have for guitar and music with others. My ultimate goal is to inspire my students to love the guitar and be the best musicians they can be.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I normally start off by asking the student what made them want to learn the guitar. Afterwards, the first thing I do is figure out what their goals are. Once I know what they want to achieve, I can put them on the best route to do just that.
How did you get started teaching?
It was more or less something I always wanted to do. I enjoyed sharing everything I learned with my friends but they we're never really that interested. So one day the idea pops into my head that I should start teaching people that actually wanted to learn how to play. Next thing you know I'm taking on my first student and I have loved it ever since.
