Joe (Wiggy) Wegleski Guitar Lessons

Thanks for stopping by. My name is Joe “wiggy” Wegleski and I teach guitar in the Scranton/Wilkes-Barre PA area. I’ve been a guitarist for nearly 30 years and I’ve been teaching guitar for about 20 years. I also have a Bachelor of Music Degree from New York University. I can teach all ages as well as many different styles. My main focus is Rock/Blues Guitar. I like to teach students not only how to play songs but why songs are written in certain ways. I like to teach the "Street Smarts" approach to music theory!

Your first guitar lesson with me might include the following:

We will start by assessing the students skill level and musical background.From there, we will devise a plan based on the student's goals. I like to start out by showing some introductory chords to gain the student's confidence and get them on the right track!

A guitar lesson with me might entail the following:

The lessons are 30 minutes long and they include all types of instruction. We will go over chord diagrams, scales, rhythm, Melody, etc. etc.

The qualities I look for in an ideal guitar student might include the following:

My ideal guitar student is one who practices every day, understands the material gone over at the lesson, and has a love and passion for playing guitar
