We are NOT a music store... Our one and only focus is on teaching music lessons! More students take music lessons here than at any other school in the Scranton area. We offer music lessons for kids and music lessons for adults! Scranton Music Academy is locally owned and operated.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We work with you to meet your personal musical goals and teach you to play the songs YOU want to play!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We have 27 music teachers, all with university training and/or many years of professional performance and teaching experience. Our music teachers are dedicated to learning about your personal musical goals and helping you to achieve them. We are confident that we have the right teacher to meet your music lesson needs. In addition to their teaching credentials, our teachers have warm personalities, are extremely friendly & dedicated to teaching you the style of music that you want to learn in your music lessons.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
Our recitals are optional, free, low-pressure and lots of fun. Every June and December, our students have the option of performing in our recitals. Students are not required to perform, but many choose to. There are no participation fees and parents, friends & family never have to pay admission for these recitals. Students or parents are never required to fund-raise for studio events.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
We are not a music store. 100% of our focus is on teaching music lessons!
