I am a previous member of Rondeaus but a life long supporter. Christina Rondeau offers more than a professional environment/ facility. She works one on one with students to make them feel comfortable while burning calories you learn real techniques to defend yourself in a dangerous situation. Christina's gym has not only taught me self defense techniques but self confidence and the importance of respecting yourself as well as others. When I first joined her gym I was only 16 years old. Three years prior to joining I had lost a parent at a young age. She has got me through some of the worst times in my life. Rondeau's kickboxing is more than just a gym to lose weight it is a family and a way of life.

FAQs

What is your typical process for working with a new student?

We have you come to any class and the trainer will go over and help you one on one during the class time. We give out commands, no choreography, so we work with all beginners every class one on one. You will always feel very comfortable.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?

I have been in this career for over 27 years. I have a 5th degree black belt, USA Kickboxing WAKO team members travelled to Ireland, Poland& Italy with the team. I fought Professional as a Kickboxer and Boxer on pay perview and was chosen by Chuck Norris for Team New England for his World Combat League and fought at Mohegan Sun Casino. I hold the Title for LtWt USKBA Champion as a PRo Kickboxer. I am a published author and self defense expert seeked after to teach college kids basics as they enter college and first time on campus. I have Dvd's, podcasts and more out there as well. My entire bio is www.christinarondeau.com I also have a college degree from RIC.

Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.

WE have memberships for those under 18 it's $65 per month unlimited classes and over 18 we have memberships that start at $99 perr month. We have great family memberships and also offer Bridal Bootcamp, 6 week Challenge. Biggest Loser and more!

How did you get started teaching?

I started as a black belt teaching karate and while I was teaching and fighting  my career unfolded in front of me. I was bullied in HS and decided to "take my power back" and learned how to fight so I could stand up to my bully. My podcasts talk all about this so check them out to hear more. I have been teaching for over 27 years and most people know my name! I have taught way over 20K people by now!

What types of students have you worked with?

From people that are obese and never worked out a day in their life, to miss RI pageant competitors to Pro athletes. Most of my clientele are teens and women ove 40 that want to get in shape.. lose the belly, tone the arms and lift the butt!

Describe a recent event you are fond of.

We hold our own events all the time and raise money for people in the community.. we have fight like a girl and fight like a dad and try to make a difference in peoples lives! RKB Changes lives....

What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?

Simple.. don't settle for someone that has NO experience. Alot of these POP up kickboxing franchise hire people that are cute and have personality and have no experience. They train them in a weekend... at my Rondeau's KIckboxing all my trainers were students, fighters and then trained and certified by ME personally. I settle for nothing less then good trainers that can teach great Technique!!! This is a sport and you need to learn the right way how to punch and kick. Ask for someones credentials in the RING.. their experience actually KIckboxing  as a PRO!!!

What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?

How long have they been teaching?

What is their background?

Have they actually fought?

You can't really teach proper kickboxing in my opinion unless you have been in the ring and actually applied what you are teaching to your students.
