About

I have been teaching guitar, bass, drums, ukulele, mandolin and vocal lessons in Rapid City for over 25 years. I enjoy seeing "the light come on" when they discover a new technique. Music is my life. I was inducted into the S.D. Rock and Roll Hall of Fame in 2019 as a member of the Aaron Baron Band.

I enjoy any activity involving music. It is a joy to run my own business and help others reach their musical goals.

Scott has been teaching my son for several years. During that time, my son has not only learned to play countless numbers of his favorite songs, but he has also developed a deeper appreciation of music in general. Scott is easy to work with as far as scheduling and communicates changes and other information well. Working with him has been a great experience for my son!

Scott is a great guitar teacher. He packs a lot of information into a session and can explain anything about notes or a song. I have improved in my skills significantly since I have been working with him.

    Frequently asked questions

I evaluate each students current level and choose the proper curriculum. I like students to be comfortable so I ask a lot of questions to get an idea of what they like and what they want to acheive.
