Dual Major Berklee graduate with Summa Cum Laude honors. Been playing guitar for 28 years, well rouned in all facets of music. Can teach any guitar styles, including Rhythm, Lead on Electric, Acoustic, or Jazz. I believe the guitar to be holisitic in all facets and not learning only patterns but understanding music to eliminate the "pattern" ideas some others teach. I love not only the guitar but music and what it has done for me in my life. I wish to pass along the gifts I've been given to others. Seeing their results from the process gives me my own creative inspiration.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Step 1 is to make contact with the student to discuss or hear or see their level of guitar playing, skill level and musicianship. This and having conversation helps tailor the lessons to their skill sets and goals. Goals and vision are imperative. We need to have a vision of where we want to go. Setting goals and communication is a big first step towards our results. We then can begin the lessons. I take a holistic approach, which not only includes making gains on guitar but actually opening up the keys to music. I've found this provides the student the fastest returns and results.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I am a Dual Major graduate from Berklee College of Music. With an emphasis on guitar. I have also had a leardership role at my day job for 17 years which is AV and working with Praise bands for sound reinforcement. I have been in numerous touring bands throughout the years and have had oppurtunities to play with many musicians as well as teach. I have been playing guitar for 28 years. I have two kids at home and I feel I am a patient person that looks at the individual personality for tailored and fastest results.
