Rod has done a great job with my 13 year old daughter. She has taken lessons for years from other instructors, but for some reason could never get the rhythm down right. We then went to Rod for lessons and he kept encouraging her and he tried different approaches to help her. She is doing much better with her rhythm now and has become much more confident in her piano playing abilities.
