About
I have been teaching guitar full- or part-time since 1999; adjunct instructor at Gulf Coast State College from 2005-2011. I have a Bachelor of Arts in Music (Rhodes College) and a Master Certificate in Music Production and Technology (Berklee Online).
I teach beginner through advanced:
Rock • Blues • Classical • Theory/Ear Training • Improvisation • Performance • Music Production/Technology
While teaching is my true passion, I believe a professional musician should be a Jack-of-all-trades when it comes to their art. Music performance, composition, education, business, and production should all be within the professional's wheelhouse, and I approach my lessons and classes accordingly. Learning to play an instrument is only one part of the journey. My goal for each of my students is that they become not only competent guitarists, but excellent musicians, in every capacity.
