I began playing guitar when I was quite young and finally was in a position to begin playing again. Unfortunately, beyond being rusty, I knew there were gaps in my knowledge, so I looked for a guitar instructor who could meet my needs on theory as well as simply enjoying the guitar again. I met Alex, we talked about my interests and I began lessons with him -- that was in September 2016. Alex has an excellent grasp of music theory, but even more important, he makes the classes fun. As a consequence of the classes, I’ve been exposed to music I might not have heard otherwise – and I’ve really appreciated that! So if you’re looking for someone who is a terrific teacher, flexible, knows how to have a laugh while teaching,
and won’t try to drive you wild “old school” music books, I would strongly recommend Alex
