Hi, my name is Kenton Jackson, founder of Strive School of Music. Strive School of Music is more than Music, Instrumental, Vocal private and group lesson, we are a family of Musician that build personal relationships with our community, city, and state. We are bridge builders in our city. We are a bilingual company that provides effective methods to learn music. I have several locations to teach from. We also travel for group lessons. I have a wonderful Staff that assist me. Strive School of Music hires U of M students and industrial High school teens. Strive School of Music has prepared students for Stax, and school band. I look forward to meeting you and your family. In addition to studio work, I currently have aftercare programs and I'm a vendor of Shelby County Schools.

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new clients Strive School of Music suggest an consultation before scheduling lessons. We want to start each client on the correct musical journey. After the consultation, the private lessons will begin.

What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
My staff is equipped with University of Memphis students and , SCS music majors. Some of them are receiving their Master's and education in specific instruments and arts. I have been a church and school musician for over 20 years. I' ve also been trained through Jackson Studios of Memphis, Amro, and local ministries.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
My standard pricing is $25 for a thirty minute private lesson at one of our Studios. I do have a 15 lesson package deal for $300.00. With the package deal you will be able to use the lessons until they run out.
How did you get started teaching?
We start each lesson with a recap of the previous lesson. Secondly, we teach music theroy, then proceed to hand-on methods. For small children , we do free-play and music coloring sheets in addition to hand-on methods.
What types of students have you worked with?
I've worked with children , adults, teenagers, some special need students, preschoolers, and ederly. We also work with students with different ethnicities.
Describe a recent event you are fond of.
I really enjoy out Fall, Summer , and Spring Music recitals. I love to see all of Strive School of Music's student progress musicially.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
I will suggest that the instructor is knowledable of every area of music . I suggest the instructor should be able to read music and inspire each student to strive for excellence.
