About this pro

My method for teaching guitar is more holistic which includes learning to play songs you like, performance preparation, developing your style,  playing with other guitarists/musicians and theory, chords, modes, scales, arpeggios etc.

I focus on your goals, not just walk through a published lesson book.

Each student has different goals that change quickly as they learn and adapting to that inspiration and muse is important to fining the musician inside of the student.

I am an encourager and teacher by nature and love playing and talking about guitars and music! With many years of gigging, some touring and recording original music in a nice studio, I have learned all the unwritten lessons about being a guitarist in a band, duo or trio.

I can teach you how to listen, adjust style and approach around other players to add musical ideas.

Several of my students have gone on to play on stage with bands and perform live regularly.

I have references if needed.

Mark is patient, skilled, and organized. His lessons are broken into manageable pieces, he employs multiple methods of explaining the concepts and he has worked well with my son's "million & one" questions. And he handled things in a way which fed my child's interest in learning to play the guitar. We are very happy with the decision to get lessons from Mark.
