About
My training is classical. My experience is contemporary. My approach is modern and rooted in real life application of 40+ years of experience and nearly 4000 live performances. I've sung for Disney, been a full-time touring artist, and been the Music Director of a mega-church.
Let's get you playing and singing YOUR favorite music...not mine. AND let's get you comfortable performing in front of people. But we'll start in the comfort of your own home.
I like leaving a legacy. Giving artists the tools they need to thrive for years to come is my way of doing that. Let's Grow!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
-First we discuss/determine the student's goals. What do they want to accomplish? What is their timeline?
-Then I assess the student's talents and current abilities. Are we starting from scratch or continuing their education?
-We formulate a plan based on the talent and time that gets them to their goal.
-I travel to the student 2-8 times a month, depending on their goals and needs.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I had 12 years of piano training, in both classical piano and contemporary keyboard.
I earned my Bachelor's of Music from Wheaton Conservatory. I was a Vocal Performance Major.
I earned my Actors Equity union card while performing for Disney in Orlando, FL.
I regularly attend conferences and workshops to stretch my abilities as an artist, songwriter, and performer
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge $40 for a half hour (30 minute) vocal or keyboard lesson within 10 miles. I come to you.
I recommend lessons of 45 minutes or even an hour (60 minutes) for most students because I can integrate much more performance coaching into the lesson. Those lessons cost $50 and $60, respectively. 45 minutes seems to be the sweet spot for attention span and absorption.
Performing well is just as important as playing and singing well, if that lines up with the student's goals. Pure performance coaching for an artist or group is $75 an hour. I can teach you how to connect with an audience and give them an amazing experience. I'll instruct you on everything that takes place onstage that ISN'T the music. This is my passion, and it's the missing ingredient for most artists who ever step into a stage.
If long distance travel is required for performance coaching, I simply ask that all travel and lodging costs are covered, and my rate is $1000 a day.
How did you get started teaching?
I began teaching voice and piano while I was still in college. I've coached and mentored numerous artists over the last 25 years. Now, I'm a performance coach for dozens of Gospel Artists and have thousands of followers on Facebook as The Gospel Road Coach.
