About
Teaching music is my true passion. Even when the student is frustrated, I find inspiration in learning their ways, developing personal lesson plans for each individual.
I started playing guitar at an early age(20+ years ago) and it was the best hobby I could've chose. Never think it's too late to learn something new...Whether it is just learning some 1st position chords to strum, and sing along; or it is developing technique in lead guitar, there will always be something fun for people of all ages. I have been giving guitar lessons for 15 years and never had one student give up.
Studying jazz is what taught me discipline as far as rhythm guitar goes, and although Jazz was my major in college, I would considered myself having more of a blues/rock background.
As far as music production is concerned I have been dabbling with FL Studio for 5 years, but have experience with several DAWs. I have completed courses pertaining to sound engineering, and looking to further my education in these areas; however, this is something that I can teach at a beginner level for students whose interests are grasped.
I have also picked up ukulele and teach it as well!
Happy days to you all!
I love it when the student is taking to the material being presented. Often times an instructor can learn from the student, just as much as a student can learn from an instructor.
Every single student is taken seriously; it is a great pleasure to tap into ones style, and be able to prepare lesson plans based on each individual.
Music is truly enjoyable at all levels of the learning process, and it is quite a fantastic feeling when we accomplish goals as a team(student/instructor).

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
For new students I usually keep it simple with exercises and scales before I teach their first chord. I like for the student to learn the fretboard first, but if they aren't interested in the music theory side of things, we dive into tablature and learning covers, eventually of their choice.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Studied jazz guitar and music theory with Professor John Demas.
Studied jazz and music theory with Vincent Paruli.
Studied beginner/intermediate/advanced guitar techniques with Wilson Hoover.
