Guitar Taught By Crystal Insel
About
Hello, my name is Chris Insel. I got my first guitar when I was nine years old. I taught myself to play. I have developed a unique strategy helpful to beginners intermediates, and pros. with each new student, I’ll begin with the guitar itself. Unless you’re intermediate. I find that my students benefit greatly from this process. That being said, you will not leave our first session without having any time playing the guitar. I will give you two basic chords to practice In between sessions. I will always want to see your progress at the beginning of each of our sessions. I will then add a third chord. Becoming accustomed to successfully make the chord and strum the chord and switch between each chord, then when we add the third cord, learning to incorporate that with your first two chords, you will be playing a three chord progression song comfortably by the end of of your fourth or fifth session. I am also an instructor that believes 15 to 30 minutes per day of goal driven practice. My reasoning behind that is what good is it for your progression if you practice for two hours a day where the last hour and a half your fingers are killing you and you’re not enjoying yourself. . That hinders what we retain. I want my students to have fun while learning to play the most awesome instrument, my opinion, In addition, If you’re not enjoying yourself, you’ll lose interest. I will not let that happen to any student of mine. Guitar is fun, I want to keep it that way for my student's. So, let’s learn guitar & entertain the world! There is a question that I have asked over the years of people that I’m going to include in this introductory.
‘’ What kind of world would we be living in if music had never been discovered? Take a moment and imagine it. Not for very long though(too unpleasant a thought)It’s unimaginable, right. I have taught 57 people how to play guitar. I also can strengthen your vocal abilities. Everyone can sing you just have to find your voice. Once you start playing, it’s only natural, for many, to express yourself vocally also.
And if anyone is wondering, my first guitar cost just under $12 at Sears and roebuck. I can’t tell you how many times I got ran out of the house for plunking and plinking By my sisters. Now they’re the ones that say go get your guitar and play us a song. Haha! I’ll be like no I’m not gonna do that. You don’t like my guitar playing remember. Then I go get my guitar. So here’s to everyone in the world finding their musical talents hidden within. And I plan to keep helping that happen..
