About

Welcome to Dr. Fenia Chang piano studio!

I am a highly experienced and qualified piano teacher.

I have received Bachelor and Master Degrees from the Juilliard School, and a doctorate from University of Maryland. I have performed in multiple places including Carnegie Hall, Metorpolitan Museum of Arts in New York; National Concert Hall in Washington DC, and also in Taiwan, China, and France. I have taught at Texas A&M University-Commerce, Eastfield College, National Taiwan University of the Arts, and Taipei City University.

My students have been rewarded top prizes at multiple local and state competitions. I look forward to working with all levels of piano students and helping them reach their own personal goals.

I have been teaching piano and theory and other piano-related subject for more than 15 years, ranging from Elementary school student to University student. I have had lots of experiences in guiding and helping students reach their own personal goal. I also have a keen passion and strong interest in each one of my student regarding what their level of piano playing is. My goal is to help each individual develop their piano skills in a different stage and inspire them to enjoy playing piano and inspire them to take piano as their lifetime good friend. In addition, I love to work with all level of piano students, and see them smile and accompolish things on the piano. That is what I like to achieve in my piano instruction

Iris Y.

I have had studied with Dr. Chang for several years.
I would highly recommend her to students who either want to take piano as a lifetime hobby or serious about it as a professional pianist. She is a very kind, sweet and encouraging teacher I have ever encountered in my past 10 years of piano lessons. I thoroughly enjoy having her inspirational way of instruction. Dr. Chang, you are the best!!

Frequently asked questions

First, set up an interview meeting with both students and parents (if studnts are younger than 18). Second, get acquainted with the new student's music background and interest.

Also, I need to understand their short term and long term goals in piano study, or any specific interest on the style of music. Last, I will customize each new student's need to start the lesson plan.
