About
I am tremendously patient and help make sure expectations are clear to every student. I am also a good communicator, both in lessons and out.
I enjoy catering each lesson to the individual student, creatively determining how to help them clearly understand how to make music. Each lesson is a puzzle with the end result of sharing my passion for music!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I aim to target each lesson to the student's individual goals and interests, whether it's learning a particular song or style, music theory, composition, transcription, etc. Additionally, I make sure every student learns strong music fundamentals and how to play with a healthy and relaxed technique
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I hold a Bachelor's Degree in Piano Performance and a Master's Degree in Collaborative Piano. I have been teaching in Texas since graduating in 2014
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
I charge per lesson, the rates are:
$25 per 30 minute lesson
$35 per 45 minute lesson
$45 per 60 minute lesson
How did you get started teaching?
I started teaching when I began to help out my own piano teacher when her studio filled up.
What types of students have you worked with?
I have worked with all ages and abilities from 5 to 75 years old, beginner to advanced.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Make sure to find a teacher who understands and will help you achieve your goals. Additionally, the ability to communicate with and understand your teacher is incredibly important.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
Be sure to consider how much time you have to devote to the instrument. Mastering the piano takes time and you will progress much more quickly if you devote time to it every day.
Additionally, make sure you have the right equipment for at-home practice, I'm more than happy to help students pick out a piano or keyboard!
