About
Traditional Okinawan Martial Arts! We teach Karate, Kobudo ( weapons ) and Tuite ( Grappling ) and practical Self Defense. We're a small dojo of dedicated martial artists. Many of our students are adults returning to training after a hiatus or were looking for a more open and practical training environment. No strings or contracts. Just serious, yet fun, training. Our tag is "Practical Defense for the everyday world." We don't live in an 80's action movie and this dojo doesn't follow trends. We have fun, study skills that follow us in life.
It's not my job, so it's not work. I want students not customers because this is what I love and have been studying for over 3 decades. I love having the opportunity to pass on a system that has been paseed down for generations. Come train!

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
We'll discuss what you're looking for from training. If karate isn't right for you, I'll point you in the right direction. If you want to join, I'll set you up with reasonable expectations and let you get to speed in a way that will make it comfortable until you are ready to plunge in. I encourage you to talk and train with the other students so you can get an idea of what the future holds, as well.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've been studying martial arts for over 30 years but only started teaching 11 years ago. I study martial arts and it's not a business. I'm still learning and polishing, as well.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
You can try it for 2 weeks, free. $85/month no contracts or strings. Discounts for family, friends and Fire/Police/Military
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Try all the classes you can. Figure out what's most important and ask questions! If they charge for trials or have contracts, move on...
