I have classical training but I play and teach all genres. I rock, I fiddle, I improvise, I still do classical too. My teacher training is in Suzuki method, but I've developed my own approach to help students learn whatever styles they want. Get good technique, good practice habits, some theory knowledge, and you can do whatever you want with this instrument!
Every student is different... it's a challenge and a joy to help all kinds of students!

What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Let's talk/email/text about your goals. Meet at my home studio, at your place, or virtually for a sample lesson. Reserve a weekly time or schedule one lesson at a time.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelor's degree in violin from Drake University (Des Moines, IA).
Suzuki teacher training registered through book 4.
Private lesson teaching since 2001.
