I Love teaching! I have taught for 55 years!! I still perform regularly. I love all ages and all backgrounds. So, contact me and let's get started ASAP.

I teach a variety of music instruments, (piano/flute/voice/strings, etc.) I strongly advise each student to do my theory course which is usually included with the instrument of your choice. I can do Just The Facts or Theory Time online. I am adding online theory this year.

Sign up for piano. OR, When signing up for another instruments, just include in the notes the other instrument you are interested in as well. You can sign up for other instruments through my piano listing. It is cost prohibitive to sign each instrument up individually.

As a senior who played flute in my younger days, but had set it aside, Doris was very accommodating, professional, accomplished, enthusiastic, patient, and engaging. Doris helped me revisit basics and introduced me to more challenging pieces and exercises. She knows how to help you reach success. Shes a great teacher!

Look for someone established and in it for the long haul. Be ready to teach the music skills to play an instrument. This  takes years to develope and should be enjoyed as milestones are accomplished. Find a teacher that will accompany you on your journey. They should be able to have a progression of levels of achievement plan.

Why music, why the instrument they choose, why practice, can they set up a regular routine/time to practice, what are their goals, do they need help setting goals?

And do I have or am I willing to get a piano or quality instrument equal to my anticipated sacrifice and hard work?
