Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
Relationships are important. We need to get to know each other, and also gauge where each student is musically, so new students start with a FREE lesson. No strings attached!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We care about quality, intentionality, and growth. We set our expectations high for each of our instructors and make sure they are continually equipped with the skills necessary to get better at their already passionate teaching each and every week.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Hour Lessons - $260/month
45-Minute Lessons - $210/month
30-Minute Lessons - $160/month
What types of students have you worked with?
We have experience teaching students aging from 4 to 64!
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
It is important that you know what is best for your musical journey, and we believe that it's through understanding the language of music. Would you rather be able to retell a story you've been told? Or be able to read any book that's ever been written? We believe the latter is true.
Some music teachers take advantage of unknowing families and teach by rote ("repeat after me"), and this does NOT lead to any musical benefits other than being able to play one song at a time.
We pride ourselves in our care for musical growth and passionate instruction. We guarantee that each of our students is receiving the best music education possible.
What questions should students think through before talking to teachers about their needs?
What does your hiring process look like? Do you offer recitals? What is your cancellation policy? What is your mission statement? What does your instructor development entail? What curriculum do you use? Do you provide any additional resources for optimal learning? We pride ourselves in our ability to answer all of these questions with what will serve you and your family best.
