The Studio Of Music

As Owner of The Studio of Music, I am also a Nationally Certified Teacher of Music & a member of the Music Teachers National Association & the American College if musicians. I have been teaching students & training other instructors for over 20 years. At TSM, we combine the classical with the contemporary to ensure that our students have a strong foundation in reading as well as the ability to play current music that they enjoy! I am also a Behavioral Therapist, which I integrate into my teaching & train my instructors accordingly. As such, we are very well versed in helping students of all learning types (ADHD, Autism Spectrum, etc) find success & joy through music! We use a positive reinforcement based teaching style to motivate each student in the way that best suits them individually. We teach ages 3 through adult. But we are one of the only music schools in the area to have a specialized preschool program that actually teaches our littles to play the piano (rather than the typical movement in music that is more commonly offered). Our students (even preschoolers) have 3 recital performance opportunities per year. We also offer summer camps & master classes.

I am passionate about teaching music! I love seeing students grow in their confidence, not just in their music, but in life. Being a private instructor, I get the blessing of working with students throughout their entire musical career. I have had the joy of teaching students from age 3 all the way until they graduate high school and begin their college music studies. I have even had the blessing of having one such student who I taught throughout his childhood come back after obtaining his music degree, to teach in my studio! I love seeing all of the positive things that music brings to the lives of my students!
