I like her liked her ability to keep my five year old focused.
Ms. Abby is patient with my teenage son who has been taking piano lessons with her for 3 years. She truly knows how to teach. Her passion and love for music and teaching can easily be seen. My son discovered his hidden talent all because of Ms. Abby’s ability to guide him and show him the way. With 100% of confidence, I recommend Abby’s Studio for people of ALL ages. You will love her just as we do without a doubt!
Abbey is such a patient, caring and a most inspiring person. The class environment is very pleasant and Abbey always accommodates her student’s wishes. We would highly recommend Abbey as a teacher for any age group if patience and motivation are a priority
Evaluate student's appitude and likes. Gear lessons to these aspects. I REQUIRE student to have a piano or full keyboard (88 keys with pedals) for regular practice as technique is a huge part of PLAYING the piano!
Private lessons from age 5 to 19 years. Teaching since age 18 to all ages and desires. Teaching almost 60 years.
Private teacher allowed me to begin teaching his starting students when I was in high school. Have taught continually as an avocation but teach because I love to teach.
Very young and also adults. Have had some with behavioral and physical issues. Each student is treated as individual and lessons are geared to student's apptitude, abilities, interests and, of great importance, the support the student has from those interested in the student's progress.
I enjoy recitals of my students. Recitals are 'events' with themes and time for those in attendance to mingle and get to know one another. Students can see progress attained as new students observe more advanced to encourage diligence.
I really want my students to PLAY piano and enjoy playing the piano. i try not to have boring or drudgery lessons though some basics require focus and effort.
Students need to consider their committment to the task and their expectations.
