About
I love teaching piano to kids, teens or adults! I try to make learning fun and interesting. Whatever type of music you're interested in learning, I can help you learn it. I can also teach beginners to read music, and intermediates to increase their skills.
Most of my experience teaching is with kids, and I can relate to them well. I've also been a substitute teacher for years, so I've been around kids and young people a lot. But I enjoy teaching people from 5 on up. I've been teaching for about 20 years.

Frequently asked questions
What is your typical process for working with a new student?
I teach them to read music, the value and type of notes, introduction to the keyboard, etc. They will end up playing songs before I leave on the first lesson!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I've played the piano for churches and weddings.
Do you have a standard pricing system for your lessons? If so, please share the details here.
Yes, it's $30 for 1/2 hour, $40 for 45 minutes, and $55 for an hour lesson.
How did you get started teaching?
I started taking piano lessons at age 6, and come come continued until I graduated from high school. I always loved it, and I didn't mind practicing. I like to play the piano with feeling, with emotion. It's a creative expression to me.
What types of students have you worked with?
All kinds.
What advice would you give a student looking to hire a teacher in your area of expertise?
Get someone who is willing to teach you the type of music you'd like to learn. Someone who is patient and flexible.
